Happy Spring to you!  I hope you are enjoying beautiful weather.  Not only has the weather been extremely gorgeous for this time of year...everything is blossoming!  Simply beautiful to be outside these days. 

The wind is really whipping around out there today!  SO glad I am in here with you!

I am so sorry that I have not been posting much.  A string of things have kept me away from my computer BUT I am here to stay and I will not bore you with details. I am back and so happy to be here with you!

My Card Box

Sorry for the glare spot.  I am not so good with the camera!

I have always wanted to try one of these card boxes.  In September we had our Stamp Group Fall Fest and the Card Box was one of the Make n Takes for the weekend. 

BUT if you know me I love our Stamp get togethers and LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I say how much I LOVE) to catch up with my sister stampers!  So I am too busy chatting (about stamping of course) to make all my Make n Takes!

I know, I know I go home with all my Make n Take kits !

Then I sit in my stamp studio and create create and create some more!

While this card box was a project that weekend this version is not the version they made.  I put my own spin on it.  Changing the papers, stamp set, and embellishments used!

The only thing that is the same is the Clear-Mount stamp case they used and the basic design.

Take a look at the inside and you can see how mine turned out ~

I used a little vlecro to attach my pen.  That way it stays in place and is not flopping all over.  You know how pens can flop - just kidding!

I used a little piece of Designer Series Paper to insert into my pen barrel.  Don't you love the way it matches?

I really like how they all turned out.  Don't forget to stamp your envelopes to match your cards.  It gives you cards that extra special touch!

I am a notebook freak.  I absolutely love notebooks ~ I think because I am a list keeper!  I have lists for everything: things I am thankful for, to do list, project list, you name it I can show you my list for it!!!!

Snowflake #2...

Good Morning Stampers,

I hope this morning finds you all well.  It has been a long time since I have posted here and I am sorry. This was a sad Fall for me.  I lost 2 very dear Aunts who I grew up with.  An Aunt on my dads side of the family and an Aunt on my moms. Each lived in the same town as me my whole life - even now as I still live in the town I grew up in.  November and December were filled with a lot of sadness but also of some wonderful memories and visits with family.

I hope you all enjoyed creating memories this Christmas with your family and friends.  It is my favorite time of the year.  

This weekend we got our first snow of 2012!  It came Friday night into Saturday and wasn't too bad as far as snow storms go.  Only about 4 inches - and very light powdery snow!  Is that a word? ~ powdery?

Anyhoot it put me in the mood for a project I had wanted to do before Christmas.  I wanted to create vinyl snow flakes to decorate my windows.

I created 8 Snowflakes for this back door.  As you can see I cut one so that it was in 2 window frames!

I know they are a little hard to see in these photos.

Here is a shot of a few of them with a dark blanket behind the window.

THis project was fun and easy to create.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, & Happy Kwanzaa

Good Mornign Stampers,

I am so sorry that I have been missing from my blog for so long.  It has been a sad Fall for me.  I lost 2 beloved Aunts.  I grew up close to both of them - they lived in the same town.  One lived next door my whole life - up to this day.  My husband and I were fortunate enough to have purchased my grandparents farm home as our own so I live surrounded by my dads side of the family.  We all grew up on the same street in our town - 35 cousins!  It was wonderful.  My moms side also lived in town but not on the same street.  We are a close knit family and we were able to have our children enjoy that by living here too. 

I just can't belive today is Christmas Eve.  2011 was so full for us.  I am working on a My Digital Studio project - kind of a year in review.  As soon as it is done I will post it for you to see.

Today I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for all your support this past year - personally and professionally.  You all have touch my life in some way and I am so thankful for that.

I have a few pictures to show you of some of the things we have been doing around here to

catch you up ~

Our annual tradition to cut down our Christmas Tree on Thanksgiving weekend - The tree directly behind Matt and Samantha is our Christmas Tree before we cut her down.  Yes, she is a female tree!

I participate in a couple cookie swaps every year.  This cookie swap we bring our cookies already packaged up all pretty!  I created the ornament on top using the big shot and some Stampin' Up! punches.  It made the trays looks so festive!  This year 11 of us were able to attend and we had a blast.  I think 8 of us grew up together and graduated from the same high school - (not all in the same year).  One of the perks of living where you grew up!

My cookie this year was the spritz - I made green trees and red flowers!

I love the glitter heart cheeks!  On the back I dated it - Cookie Swap 2011

Next my mom and I  (that is her at the sink) turned my kitchen into a bakery and bake our annual cookies - about 20 different kinds this year.  We package them up and give them to family and friends each year.

This is one of my sons favorite cookies - Angel Kiss cookies!

My parents have carried on our traditional fish dinner and we just love it.  This is a shot of as many of my parents grandchildren and great grandchildren that could make it this year.  We had a wonderful time and really missed those that were unable to make it. 

The night has a few traditions - one of which is Santa comes to bring a little gift for all the good little girls and boys!

OH WHAT FUN!

Another tradition I have in my home is the Gingerbread Houses!  Each year Matt and Samantha create Gingerbread houses - take a look at this years version ~

Well other things have gone on but I need to start my day.  We are off to Long Island today to spend Christmas Eve with my husbands family.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

I guess mother nature thought that if the stores can start decorating for Christmas in October that she better help them out a little this year and send some snow our way!!!

It did look and feel a little like Christmas this past weekend in New Jersey!

But so glad to see it melt away as fast as it came.  Just like it is a bit too early for stores to be decorating for Christmas in October it was way to early to see snow this early.

But I have to tell you ~ I have been preparing for Christmas already.  While Halloween decorations can been seen throughout my home I have begun my Christmas Stamping!

Yesterday while I was snowed in I created this fun Christmas card using our fun Small Open-End Envelopes (#107286 pg #182).

On the front of the card I used the wonderful new product found in the Holiday Mini - Shaker Frames (#124155 - 36ct - Page# 38)

Happy Halloween...

Happy, Happy Halloween Stampers,

What a fun holiday Halloween!  I love seeing all the kids get dressed up.  They are just too cute for words.  This is actually the first Halloween my kids will not be here for our Traditional Halloween Dinner!

Every year since I was born and before my mom would make homemade pizza (dozens of pies when I was young because I would invite all my friends for our Halloween Tradition), a big salad, cider and tons of donuts!  We would all eat then head out to Trick or Treat all night long.  My kids were blessed to have continued that tradition ~ we only live 2 houses away from my parents!  SO my mom has continued her Halloween Tradition on for my kids and other grandchildren that come!  And of course they all invite their friends over to enjoy it too.  Gramma's homemade pizza is famous with the kids!

This year with Halloween on a Monday and both my kids in college - they won't be able to enjoy it.   BUT the tradition will continue ~ if you are in the our neighbor tonight - stop in for some homemade pizza and cider!  We would love to have you.

More Stepin' Cards...

Good Morning Stampers,

As I am sure most of you have heard ~ New Jersey got hit with some out of season weather yesterday: SNOW!  Wet, heavy, white stuff that just took down trees and wires all over the state.  I was out early in the morning visiting my daughter at Montclair State Univ. for Homecoming as the weather went from bad to worse.  By the time we left her and headed home (which should have been about a 15 - 20 minute ride) the snow was in full force and it took us a little over an hour and a half to get home.  We had many detours due to trees and wires down.  We even drove under a huge tree that was lifted out of the ground and hanging over the road only by the street wires!  I am sure it fell the rest of the way pulling all the wires with it.  We said a prayer that it would not fall while we were under it (or anyone else) and went under.  Even our own road was closed off and we had to go in through the next town to get back to the other end of our street to get through.  It was a mess. 

And today the sun is shinning and the snow is melting fast.  Of course all the damage is done!  Our neighbors had a tree hit there home.  The were blessed that it did not pierce their roof but did make a pretzel out of their fence.  One or trees dropped a big branch  close to the one they had fall but it only hit a few bushes. 

Scary stuff for sure.  This morning I continue to pray for a friend that was not so lucky.  He was in a bad accident and is in ICU.  Please keep him and his family in your prayers.

As you can see form this side view the step part of the card is a bit different.  But won't you just love it?

Fabulous Friend...

Good Morning Stampers,

We all have at least one...and I believe you really only need one.  That friend you can tell everything to, every last feeling you have and not be afraid they will judge you.  They are there for you 24/7 with a open heart to love you just for being you.

Todays card is another one I created for my presentation but was really created for a dear friend who has been there for me ~ I am blessed to have her in my life.

I wanted to let her know how much her friendship has meant to me so I needed the card to be special.

I found this card on the internet (or one similar to it - I didn't save the link to compare my version to that one) - it is not my original design.  But I did put my spin on it - since I didn't have a picture to follow I created this one from memory.

Wow it has been a long time since I posted.  I am sorry about that.  Sometimes life just has to come first.  This Fall has been extra busy for me.  We are having some really nice weather mixed with not so nice days.  But I can't complain.  Things are good here.

Today I wanted to show you another side step card I created for my demonstrator presentation last month.
