My Digital Studio News...

Good Morning Stampers,

There is so much I want to share with you.  I just don't know where to begin. 

First I want to share with you a card I created at our last Stampin' Demo Event. 

One of my fellow Demonstrators shared her tips and techniques using My Digital Studio with us.  This is the card that was created using the MY DIGITAL STUDIO program and printed using their printing service. 

We then took the card and further embellished it with ribbon and Mini Jingle Bells (#124116 - Holiday Mini Catalog).

I tried to give you a close up of the ribbon and Mini Jingle Bells.   

Take a look at the inside and back of the card.  I wanted you to be able to see that you can fully cover your card in Designer Series Paper and card stock.

                   
I am not sure you can clearly see but on the botton of the back of the card is the MDS & Stampin 'Up! logo.  They print automatically on the back of all projects.  I am not sure (but I am looking into finding out) if we put something over it if that would cover these logos.

 

The quality of this digital program and the printing are amazing.

New York or Philadelphia?

Hi Stampers,

Happy Saturday! Do you know what today is?  Can you tell by me header question...New York or Philadelphia?  No I am not asking which city you prefer!

Today is National Cheesecake Day!  NO it has not been endorsed by any president so it is an unofficial holiday which is celebrated on July 30th (and doesn't have and congressional records to solidify its claim).  But it sure is a delicious holiday!!

There really is a large tradition of food holidays.

 Records of cheesecake date as far back as 770 BC, when the dessert, or something like it at least, was served to Olympic athletes.

There are so many variations of Cheescake: European, Latin American, Asian, & of course American variations. 

Hence my question ~ New York Cheesecake or Philadelphia Cheesecake?

A little FYI on cheesecake for you ~

In the US there are 2 big contenders for the Cheesecake Crown: 

One is New York Style cheesecake.  This style will tend to be very heavy and rich.  It features cream cheese, heavy cream, & many other fattening ingredients.

 

The second popular cheesecake is Philadelphia Style cheesecake. It is considered to be creamier and also lighter than the New York style cheesecake, but does not skimp on the fattening ingredients.

Cheesecake can also be flavored in a variety of ways.

Chocolate or strawberry remain the popular national favorites followed by pumpkin cheesecake.  Pumpkin cheesecake is an American favorite for a winter holiday dessert. 

SO I am sure you are wondering ...

How does one celebrate CHEESECAKE DAY?

I can only speak for myself & my family but I am thinking make a big ole cheesecake for dessert tonight!!!

SO to help you out below I have one of my favorite cheesecake recipes for you to try. 

This recipe was given to me by a friend almost 20 years ago and we still enjoy it today.

I created the recipe page in My Digital Studio as part of a cookbook I am making for my nieces (and my own children) as a gift for them tilted~

Family Favorites. 

It is still a work in progress but I wanted to share this recipe with you today so that  you can enjoy it on CHEESECAKE DAY!

Using My Digital Studio...

I hope you had a nice Holiday Weekend.  I did but it sure went by much too fast. 

I am happy to be back blogging everyday.  It is something I really missed doing.

Today I wanted to share with you the invitation I created in MDS for my daughters high school graduation party. 
My Digital Studio is great for so many things.  Check out this invite ~

It was super simple to create.  I think it took me about 10 minutes.

The invite was created as a 5 x 7 postcard.

The school colors are black and gold so that was how I decided on my color scheme. 

The top half of the invite I did change the opacity of the designer series paper so that it was lighter.  I used the stamp set Go Graduate Plus for the Owl, the graduation cap and the sentiment "Congratulations, Graduate".  

I believe this stamp set comes with the MDS program. 

Added the text is super easy with MDS. I chose not to print this invite through the SU printers but did download it to a super store near my home to print out 50.

Super easy to do this and I got the confirmation letting me know I can pick them up tomorrow at noon.  How quick was that?  I just created this morning before our picnic!

I have to tell you the reason that I sent it to the super store near my home for printing was just to see how it comes out.  All the other projects I have greated on MDS I chose to print using SU's printing service.  They all came out beautiful.  I love the true to SU colors and the quality of all the projects they printed for me.

But you have been asking how projects would look if you chose to use another printer so I thought I better try that out.  That way I can see the quality and colors myself and let you all know. 

Now I am not sure I will get to pick them up tomorrow as I have a million things on my to do list.  But as soon as I do pick them up I will surely post the results here.

The update will be performed automatically.  It will take a little time to update.. it is a large download.
