Reinkers meet Stampin' Up!'s Fifth Ave Floral stamp set (#113734 ~ $24.95) to create amazing watercolored Roses!
It is such a fun set to work with and matches the Manhattan Flowers Impressions Die (#114517 ~ $7.95) for the Big Shot.
*Using the Rose image I stamped it on watercolor paper with White craft ink. Before it dried I used white embossing powder and heat embossed the image.
*Put a few drops of reinker (your favorite color) onto a piece of plastic (you can use a scrap of wax paper). You want it to be something that won't absorb the ink.
*Spritz your embossed image a few times.
*Dip your Aqua painter in your reinker and touch it to the wet image. You will see - the ink just spreads. It will automatically shade your flower - leaving some petals dark and some light.
Note: Don't worry if the ink spreads out of the lines. I cut out the flowers for this card.
Ink: Reinkers- Bashful Blue, Regal Rose, Coral Cameo
Stazon Black, Certainly Celery classic ink
Note: The leaves were stamped using the leaf image from Stampin' Up!'s Flower Fancy (#111578 - $36.95)
Here is a picture of the Roses up close ~
As you can see each Rose is shaded differently.
I hope you enjoyed this technique. It really is easy to do and gives you fabulous roses!
