That I posted my April Scripture page without posting my March page for you to see.  

I have had a crazy start to the new year.  Here I am in April and still trying to play catch up.  So much going on here - I am sorry to have forgotten to show you March's page. 

With out any further delay here it is ~

This month I did not use Scripture that followed my theme (God's Promises) because I felt I needed to be reminded this month to be faithful in prayer.  The start of the 2009 as really been a bit crazy and hectic for me and I know that the only way for me to get through each day with joy in my heart is by prayer and spending time with God.  I just felt like I needed to remind myself of Romans 12:12.  When I look through my Scripture album of God's Promises and come across this page I will be reminded that I need to be faithful in prayer as I continue to walk with God. 

As you can see it is done on Stampin' Up!'s Carousel Notes.  It is actually form their retired set (using a retired In Color). 

The inside Scallop Circle was created using the Big Shot  - Bigz Die - Scallop Circle #113468 - $19.95. 

I created the floral arrangement on the inside using the Sizzlits Decorative Strip die - Swirly #113456 - $19.95, SIzzlits Die - Daisy Flower - #113442 - $4.95, and the Sizzlits 4-pack die - Stampin' Up! Birds & Blooms - #113485 - $21.95.

Before adhering the different pieces to the project I stamped my sentiment then layed out the floral arrangement to make sure where I wanted everything. 

Once I was happy with the arrangement I started adhering everything.  As you can see I used a small flower form Stampin' Up!'s 4-pack die set and the larger leaf. 

When everything was adhered I adhered two half pearls form Stampin' Up!'s Pretties Kit to the center of the flowers.

I love the added dimension it gives to the project.

Note:  The paper piercing around the Carousel Note was done using the needle adn mat tool from the Crafters' Tool Kit - #104310 - $39.95 and a regular hole punch.

Psalms 42:8

Each month I am creating a 6" x 6" page for an album I am putting together.  The theme of this album is  God's Promises.
 
I just finished April's page ~


This page was created using Very Vanilla card stock. 

*I stamped the flowers from Eastern Blooms (#111626 - $21.95)  in Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Rose Red, & Regal Rose classic ink onto Very Vanilla then cut them out. 

*Adhere them with your favorite adhesive.  I used Stampin' Up! Dimensionals and Mini Glue Dots.

 

Here is a close up so you can see the Micro Beads on the larger flower and just the Crystal Effects on the smaller flower. 

*Using Chocolate Chip stamp the floral branch directly onto the page. 

*On the larger flowers I applied Crystal Effects
( #101055  - $6.25) to the centers to attach the Micro Beads (#104266 - $5.25).  

*For the smaller flowers I used coordinating brads (#106955 - $8.95) on some and just a drop of Crystal Effects on the others.

I am participating in SCS's Divine Design Challenge - my theme is God's Promises -
This is my February entry.

Matthew 11:28 - this is one of my favorite promises - Rest for the weary.  Praise God that He will provide Rest when we are weary and feel burdened.
The verse is a stamp from Verve. 
I used a new stamp set from Stampin' Up!'s 2009 Spring & Summer Idea Book and Catalog ~ Fifth Avenue Floral for the background.  I like using stamps to create my own Designer Paper.   I have to tell you I love this set.  I played with it all morning.  I will share all that I created today with you this week.  

God's Promises...

I have been stalking the Divine Design Bible Verse Challenge over at Split Coast for most of last year. I loved the idea of created cards and scrapbooks with Scripture.  The challenge is to create something that contains scripture each month.

This year I decided to jump in and create a 6" x 6" scrapbook of God's Promises.  I will build this scrapbook month by month - each month will be a different scripture with one of God's Promises. 
My hope is to duplicate each page so that by December I will have 2 books with 12 pages of Scriptures all reminding me of God's Promises found throughout the Bible.  I will keep one and give one as a gift!
