Shelli and Ronald McDonald.  Shelli presented Ronald with a check during one of the sessions from Stampin ' Up! - They present the Ronald McDonald Foundation a check every year. 
They also encourage all demos to get involved with their local Ronald McDonald house.  It is a wonderful cause.

 

This was a great idea for the Decor Elements.  Look for a Class coming this Fall!

I didn't realize how many posts I had with no pictures. I am sorry about that.  I will make up for that now.

Here is a closer look at the picture wall.  I really liked how they placed the Decor Elements peeking out from behind the frames.  If you look closely you will see that the far right frame is Shelli and her husband Sterling.  What a cute couple they are.

This is a room that could be an entry way or a wall in your dining room - really almost anywhere.
Notice they used the white Decor Elements for a subtle look.
Very soft.

Above is a picture of a childs room.  I just love the numbers over the shelf.  Also note the border going around the center of the wall.  What a great idea for kids.  It is just the right height for them to use.

Another great glass paneled door idea to hang on the wall.  You know I will be looking for a door I can do this with.  I really liked the idea.

This is a sneak peek at new Decor Elements coming your way soon.  Phase 2 will be out this fall.  Don't you just love this idea.  This is at the very top of the wall just below the crown molding.  Love it.

This was a desk that had this beautifully done stationary on it.  I just thought is was gorgeous.

We are able to visit the offices of Stampin' Up! and tour the distribution center. That is the center where our orders are picked, packed and shipped.  Very cool.

This UPS truck sent the Demonstrators into a frenzy.  Can you picture almost 6000 SU Demonstrators
screaming and yelling.

Does your UPS truck look like this?   It was really a lot of fun. THANK YOU UPS!  What an awesome thing they did - donating to the Ronald Mc Donald Foundation.  As you may know Stampin' Up! supports the Ronald McDonald Foundation.  Each year they design a special stamp set - then they donate $2 for every set that is purchased to the Ronald McDonald Foundation. This year UPS purchased enough sets for every Demo at convention to get one - think about all that money that they donated to such a wonderful Foundation. How nice was that. So next time you get a package delivered from UPS - Please tell them what a nice thing their company did for the Ronald McDonald Foundation and for the SU Demos. Wahoo!!

This is how the SU Employees and even some UPS employees delivered the stamp sets to the Demos at convention. They came running out screaming and hooting handing out the stamp sets. I have to say it was so much fun!

Everything about Convention was fun.

The pictures you have been waiting for...

One of the best parts about being a Demonstrator is going to Stampin' Up!'s annual Convention. You are amongst thousands of Demonstrators from the US and Canada and the energy is like nothing I have seen before. Well maybe similar to a Rock Concert.
Stampin' Up! released their new 2008 Fall & Winter Idea Book and Catalog to us and I have to say - I love it. The new stamp sets are die cut - love that. We hear about new partnerships Stampin' Up! is creating with other companies and saw some awesome ideas and got tons of tips.
Shelli, the Co-Founder of the Stampin' Up! makes herself available to us and it is always wonderful to see her and listen to what she has to say about the past year her views for the year ahead.

Ok I promised pictures ~ here they are...

Stampin' Up! creates mock rooms to give us ideas. This office is just too cute. The walls have been stamped with a new stamp set. I love it because this is the stamp set I won the last day of Convention.

Here is a family room idea. Family was adhered to the glass panel of the door then hung on the wall. What a great idea I love the Decor Elements peeking out behind the glass and wood frame.

Quick summary of announcements made at Convention...

Every year at Convention Demos try to guess what will be the "Big" Announcements made by Shelli (Co-Founder of Stampin' Up!). In my wildest dreams I would not have guessed their partnership with Sizzix. But I am super excited about it.
Here are the major announcements Shelli made this year...

• The premiere of Stampin'Up!'s newest product line - the Sizzix Big Shot with exclusive Stampin'Up! dies. Yes, we will be carrying the Sizzix Big Shot starting in September. I will be sharing more information soon.
• 24/7 online ordering. Starting this Fall customers can order Stampin'Up! product directly online.
• Celebrando Creatividad, a catalog supplement featuring spanish language stamp sets, will premiere along with the new SU! catalog August 11th. There will also be spanish versions of Stampin'Up's website and demonstrator website.
• Shelli's Signature Collection will launch this fall. This collection spans the entire Stampin'Up! product line and includes Stampin'Up! co-founder Shelli Gardner's favorite products and some that she personally played a part in developing.
• Decor Elements Phase 2 - We got to see a sneak peek at some of the new Decor Elements that will be available this fall. In addition to new images, phase 2 will also offer new colors. Many of the new images are holiday related and will be available to customers beginning October 1st.
• Country Living partnership - For the second year Stampin'Up! will partner with Country Living magazine to offer an exclusive holiday kit. The kit will include stamps, designer paper, and accessories; and will be featured in a 20 page spread in the magazine's December issue.
• SoShelli.com - Stampin'Up! cofounder Shelli Garnder has started her own personal blog. Here is the link. You can visit her blog to find gift and project ideas, and a personal look at Shelli's family activites.

Back from Convention...

What a great time I had in Salt Lake City.  It was awesome spending time with 6000 other Demonstrators who love stamping as much as I do.  That is one of the best things about being a Demonstrator ~ the friends I have made through Stampin' Up!.  I so look forward to spending time with them at events like Convention, Regional Seminars, or just getting together to stamp and share some laughs.  They have become wonderful friends whose friendships I cherish.

You know that UPS has delivered Stampin' Up! packages to all of us over the years. When I know I am expecting a box of SU supplies I eagerly await for my Man in brown to come!  Well to every Demos surprise - UPS was at Convention too!  ON the last day during the closing ceremony - while Shelli (the co-founder of SU) was addressing the Demos - the doorbell rings and on stage walks a UPS man carrying a SU box.  When Shelli asks if she could help him - he says he as a delivery.  Of course Shelli asks who it is for--------what do you thing he said?

I have a package addressed to EVERYONE!  Wahoo -with that and 6000 demos screaming a UPS truck pulls out on stage with red and yellow flames painted on the sides and confetti is falling all over the place and even some small fireworks go off (ground ones).  UPS announced that they were GIVING every demo at convention the Ronald McDonald Stamp Set!  Not only did we get this fun stamp set - the Ronald McDonald Foundation got all that money that Stampin' Up! donates for each set that UPS purchased for us! 

Way to go UPS - I know I will be sending a big thank you to UPS this week for sure!  I just think that was so nice of them.  It really was a sweet moment during convention and a great way to end the week.

I am still digesting all the information we received from Stampin' Up! this past week along with all the exciting new products, techniques, tips and projects we saw! 

I have told you about the partnership that Stampin' Up! has with Sizzix to release the "New" Big Shot with exclusive SU dies!  How cool is it going to be to have die cuts to match our stamp sets?  And dry embossing will never be the same again!

This new machine will be available this Fall so stay tune for the date.

Stampin' Up! has awesome news...

Tons of information was shared with us at the Stampin' Up! convention this week.  I am so eager to share it with you.  And we still have a day to go.  I am sure there will be more to come tomorrow!

This is going to be an exciting year for Stampin' Up!  They have teamed up with Sizzix!!!!!!!!!!  Stampin' Up! along with Sizzix will be offering us a multipurpose, manual die-cutting system - "Big Shot". 

This Big Shot has been specially designed just for Stampin' Up!  You will be able to create multiple die-cut shapes, envelopes, and tags quickly and easily.  Use the Bigz, Originals, Sizzlits, and Decorative Strip - sized dies to make personalized cards, scrapbook pages, home decor, and more. 

The Bog Shot machine will work with more than 50 materials, including card stock, Designer Series paper, fabric, chipboard, plastic, and more.

How great will it be to have die-cuts that match our exclusive stamp sets?  Sizzix has designed exclusive die-cuts just for Stampin' Up!

Packing for some fun...

I have been stamping my little fingers to the bone this past week trying to get my swaps done in time.
I leave today for the Stampin' Up! Convention in Salt Lake City Utah. 
If you have never been to Utah - it is a beautiful state!  This is my third SU Convention.

I made 3 different cards - this picture is a piece of one of the cards.  All three are totally different.  Hopefully I will come home with a ton of samples and ideas to share with you.

They will be revealing the NEW FALL & WINTER 2008 IDEA & CATALOG tomorrow at Convention - I can not wait to get my hands on that!!!!!!!!!

I also make a few presents for others that have been so helpful and kind to me this past year.  I am so excited to meet with those of you I have talked to on line ~ but have not met in person yet!

Well I have a ton of stuff to get ready before heading for the airport. 
I will be bringing my computer so that I will keep you posted with all kinds of information.
