Wow can it really be only 4 weeks to Christmas? Where has the time gone? Around mid~August every year I think to myself - "This year is going to be different. If I start now I will be done by Thanksgiving with all my Christmas cards, have purchased all my gifts AND wrapped them and I will spend Thanksgiving weekend decorating our home! " Those were good thoughts! I had great intentions. I made my Christmas cards - a few each week ~ BUT that was where it all fell apart. I didn't do the rest! No shopping or wrapping! Oh well ~ that is okay. I will kick it into high gear starting today and will be done with time to spare! LOL Maybe!
This weekend I needed to bring a bottle of wine as a gift and of course I couldn't just bring it like it was! I thought this was a great idea to dress up a bottle of wine when giving it as a gift ~
What do you think? What a fun way to present a bottle of wine. I didn't have time to create a wonderful bag for it so I took out my Stampin' Up! fabric (LOVE THE FABRIC) and use this piece to wrap up my bottle. I tied the top with a bow using our seam binding ribbon and attached an antique brad. How cute is that for a hostess gift?
I did quickly put together a gift tag to match but in my rushing I never took a photo of it attached. I am sorry. But 5 minutes and you can simply put together a gift tag to match!
Don't forget to place your supply orders before December 15th if you need to have them before Christmas.
Last month in my Stamper's Club Free Class we created two beautiful cards. I showed you the first one yesterday and I promised to show you the second one today.
We used Heat Embossing along with Gold Embossing powder to great the beautiful background.
It gave this card such a rich almost antique look. We loved the way they turned out. The Cherry Cobbler seam binding gave this card just enough pop of color.

Wow did this past week go by fast! Matt was home for the week from college. I was so excited that he had the entire week off but it just flew by. We are just getting ready to drive him back. I thank God for such a beautiful day for a drive. There is not a cloud in the sky. Three weeks and he will be home for Christmas! We haven't dropped him off yet and I have already started to miss him. I love when my kids are home.
This morning I wanted to show you one of the cards my Stamp Club made in our November FREE Stamp Class ~
I have a few new stampers in this Stamp Club and I wanted to introduce them to Stampin' Up! beautiful Designer Series paper and how to use the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
The Stamp-a-ma-jig is a great tool when you need to align your stamped image or fit it into just the right place. We used this tool to stamp the ivy frame. We had a pre ~ cut piece of Very Vanilla and wanted to make sure that we centered the frame on it. Then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to position the sentiment inside the ivy frame. It is a simply tool to use and really helps to make our stamping look great.
Stay tuned - for the second card we created at our November Stamp Club FREE Class. I will be posting it tomorrow! You won't want to miss it - We used heat embossing to enhance that card!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends.

This card is not my originally design although I have changed it a little to make it make it suite me.
I created this card using French Foliage from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini catalog with a few embellishments it made a gorgeous Christmas card. Don't you think?
You don't need to only use the stamps in a set for the obvious. Try to figure out a way to use your stamp sets for many different holidays and occasions. They are so versitile. Give it a try this week.
I challenge you to take a set you own and use it in a different way.
Leave me a comment or email me with your idea or sample of your creation. I would love to see it and if you like I could post it to my blog for all to see!
What a gorgeous day today. Yesterday we picked up my son from college. He has the WHOLE week off. I am so thankful to have him home this week.
Today we are headed to my parents for dinner. I have a few things to get ready for that then we will be on our way.
I love this time of year. As the weather is brisk and the leaves have just about all fallen down from the trees we begin to start remembering all the things we are thankful for. I really try to remember all my blessings each and every day - but it is nice to have this time of year as a yearly reminder.
This week in each post I will be listing some of my many blessings in my life.
One of the blessings in my life are all of you. You have all found time each day to visit my blog and enjoy my samples, ideas, tips, & techniques. Whether you come to look, get inspired, place an order, leave a comment, send me an email, call me or just quitely come to visit I am thankful for you.
