I have a quick project to show you today.  It makes a great gift bag or party favor.

This gift bag was created using the Fancy Favor XL Bigz Die for the Big Shot.

I textured the bag by running it through the Big Shot using the Polka Dot impressions embossing folder.  The added the a piece of newsprint designer series paper that I aged by crumbling up and sponging Early Espress Classic ink on it.

I created the flower using the 5 petal flower punch, some grosgrain ribbon and a tag stamped with the 'for you' sentiment!

What a fun die to use for any occasion favors.  It also makes a great gift bag.

Is the Cake Boss working for Stampin' Up!...

Hi Everyone ~

Every year at Convention Stampin' Up! awards demonstrators who come up with AWESOME projects and ideas.  And I have to tell you I have seen first hand many of the projects over the years and they have been more than awesome.

This year was no exception.  CHECK THIS OUT ~

No the Cake Boss did not create this beauty.  A little trivia - he does live in my town!  Very nice man with a great family!

The creator of this AWESOME  cake is  Artisan of the Year Winner Jodie O.

Congratulations Jodi.  This cake is amazing.

One of Stampin' Up!'s huge displays at convention this year was a Candy Shoppe and they had tons of Confections made out of paper.  Over the next week I will share some photos my friend took at convention.

So exciting...

Hi Everyone ~

It is absolutely gorgeous here today - the sun is shinning, the sky is blue, and the humidity is down!  I couldn't ask for a better day!

As the weekend came to a close Stampin' Up! also just completed their annual Convention.  Although I was unable to attend this year I keep close tabs on what was going on there.

There theme this year was 'Share what you love'!

That has always been what drives me and my stamping business.  I have always loved to show people how creative they can be. 

I joined Stampin' Up! for a number of reasons: To start my own business, earn extra income for my family while doing with  I love, make new friendships, and share my passion of papercrafting  with others so they can experience all that I have through Stampin' Up!.

Stampin' Up! Convention is an exciting few days were SU Demonstrators come together to learn new ideas, business tips, see new product, meet the Stampin' Up! home office staff, gather with other demos and create new friendships, and be entertained!  Awards are given out to Demonstrators that have excelled during the year, artisan awards are given, awards are given to demonstrators who have given back.  It is an emotional couple of days that have left me encouraged, inspired, and exhausted after attending.  I was sorry to have to miss this year but I am already planning on attending next years for sure.

The displays that Stampin' Up! creates for convention are incrediable!

One of my highlights every year is to see the CEO Shelli and her daughter Sara on stage demonstrating products!

Here they are showing a new product that will debut in the upcoming Holiday Mini - FABRIC!

See how much bigger SU's fat quarters are then the traditional fat quarters. 

My Demo friend mentioned to me that the skirts that Shelli and Sara were wearing were made using the new Stampin' Up! fabric.

I love that!

How much easier can making a card be?

Using the Big Shot and the Beautiful Butterfly Sizzlet to the color.  Simply stamp your favorite sentiment and add your Rhinestones to create just the right bling and your card is complete!

I used 3 Rhinestones for the butterflies body and one to dot the 'i' in Congratulations.

Upgrading your Colors on My Digital Studio...

How to get your free color upgrade for My Digital Studio

Stampin' Up! has arranged for all owners of My Digital Studio to get a free upgrade to add new colors to their existing color palette?

It's only 2 steps towards getting YOUR free colors. 

You must do them both - in order:

1. Update your software to the newest version (1.0.4 - or later).  Start by determining your current version at your Help option within your program.  If your version is 1.0.1 (or later), just click on "Check for updates" within the Help option - and your software update will be performed automatically.  However, if you have not yet updated to 1.0.1, go to www.StampinUp.com/MyDigitalStudio and download version 1.0.1 FIRST - before you go any further!  And THEN do the 1.0.4 update via your Help option.
2. AFTER you have updated your software to 1.0.4 (or later), go to www.StampinUp.com/MyDigitalStudio .  Click on the updates page and "one-by-one" download and install the 4 color packages available there for free! Make sure you choose the files according to whether you have a PC or MAC.  The "patterns" files are large, don't worry if the download seems to take a long time.

If you are like me and have My Digital Studio installed on 2 computers  (such as your desktop as well as your laptop), don't forget to perform both of these steps on EACH computer.

Please note that this free upgrade should give you all the current ink and background colors in the Stampin' Up! new color palette. Although there are still a few cardstock and Designer Series Patterns colors not included in this free color update.  

Also note that if you have purchased and downloaded digital textured cardstock this process will not update those colors. 

We hope that in the future Stampin' Up  will offer these upgrades.
