With all your summer activities and family time - I thought this was a great project to make and use.  What a wonderful keepsake to have long after the summer has passed.
If you have any questions - you can always contact me.

Big Stampin' Up! News...

All New Stamp Sets Are Die Cut!
July 1, 2008

When it comes to quality stamp sets, Stampin' Up! has been an industry leader for several years.

Our original, exclusive stamps have earned the prestigious Creating Keepsakes Readers' Choice Award for best rubber stamps eight years in a row, and every year we work to make them even better!

All new stamp sets in the Fall-Winter 2008 Idea Book & Catalog (including new hostess sets) will be die cut for your convenience!

We know you enjoy the flexibility of custom mounting your stamps, and with these die-cut sets, all you'll need to do is pop, peel, and place before you begin stamping.

Only our new stamps will be die cut; sets carried over from the last catalog and those on the dormant list will still require trimming.

But, each new set will feature a die cut icon so you  will have no problems identifying die-cut sets.

How gorgeous are these?

Decorelementssampleblog
Stampin' Up! has a new product ~ Decor Elements

For more details on Decor Elements please read the posts below.

Would you like a catalog so that you can see first hand just what I am talking about?  Email me at: annette@ink-paper-scissors-rock.com today and I will send you one.

They are simply gorgeous! I just received my first oder today and I have to say I think I am going to love this line.

As soon as I put them up I will take some pictures for you.  I purchased a saying for my office at work and the "Create" for my stamp room.  Now that I see them - I am making a wish list!
I have been walking around my house thinking - "Oh I could use a little thingie there and a little something here".  I am ready to place my second order of Decor Elements.
A perk demonstrators get is that we get to preorder new items before they are available to the general public so that we have a chance to play with new stuff before presenting it!

Envelope Books...

I have been looking for a cute homemade album to make my God Daughter for her first born.
I spotted these envelope books on my friend Patty's Blog.  She got the idea from her friend Sharon.

I just had to try one and it turns out to be so cute!  I think my God Daughter is going to love it.
Here it is with no pictures.Envelope album

I used 4 Stampin' Up! Long Notes Envelopes and 3 card stock pages along with 4 inserts for the envelopes.

This album was created using Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kit - Special Delivery Boy.  I love the paper and self adhesive die cuts in this kit.

Check out the photo below for a better look~

Envelope Album 2

This is bound together with the bind-it-all.
I think the best feature of this mini album is the pockets with the slide out pages!

I used the tab punch to create pulls for the pages that are inserted into the Envelope pockets.

Envelope album 3

I haven't put my pictures in it yet but the first pull out is a die cut adhesive from Stampin' Up!'s Simply Scrappin' Kit ~ Special Delivery Boy.

Have you tried the Simply Scrappin' Kits yet?  If you haven't you don't know what you are missing.
Each Kit includes:
2 sheets each (3 designs) 6" x 12" self adhesive die cuts (6 sheets)
3 sheets each 12" x 12" double sided paper (6 sheets)
2 sheets each 12" x 12" textured card stock (8 sheets)

They have 10 different designed kits to choose from.  You get all that for $19.95 plus shipping and handling.
They are great for scrapbooking because you get so much and everything coordinates in the kit and you can add to it by using your SU supplies you already have that match.

But better than just using it for scrapbooks - you can use them to create beautiful cards quickly!
Later I will post some cards I made in a matter of minutes using a Simply Scrappin' Kit so don't forget to check back.

It's Graduation time...

and I need a lot of cards.  Spring time brings with it graduations, weddings, communions, confirmations, you name it I need a card for it!
Here is a design for a gift card I came up with for some graduations these past few weeks ~
Graduation card Graduation card2

The colors were chosen to coordinate with their school colors!  I used the Classic Stars jumbo wheel from Stampin' Up! and wheeled if over the top portion of the card.
Then used SU's star punches (large and small) to punch out stars (that I stamped (wheeled) on scrap Whisper White card stock) to add dimension to the card front.
The sentiment - congratulations - is from a retired Stampin' Up! Set.
Graduation card inside

This is the inside of the yellow card  It has about a 2" piece that was scored and folded up to make a pocket for the gift!

I attached gingham ribbon, a sentiment from the Occasions Mini Catalog set - In the Stars, and personalized it a bit more with the schools initials and mascot!  A Hornet!

If you are interested in any of the sets from the Stampin' Up! occasions mini catalog - don't hesitate to order.  The Occasions Mini Catalog is only good until June 30, 2008!  So place you order now.

with your order and I can have it shipped directly to you!

Stationery Box Kit-To-Go

Stampin' Up! has asked us to turn off our cell phones and computers in an effort to reconnect with family and friends for the month of June.
I have decided to take them up on the challenge and reconnect with family and friends by making cards to send to them.
I found this wonderful Stationery Box by Jacke Topa that I thought would be a great Kit-To-Go.  It contains everything you need.

Fun Cards...

I have been working on a few things - one of which is building up my card stash.  I like to have a lot of cards to send to customers, family and friends.  My stash has been bone dry - I was not able to keep up with my need for cards.  SO I am spending some much needed time building that back up.
Here is a card I just did this weekend and love the way it turned out.
Doodle cards
I liked it so much I  decided to do it in many colors.

Doodle card 1

This one I did in River Rock.  SU has 6 colors they introduce each year that are only available for 12 months - River Rock is in the current In Color line.

The one in the photo below is Apricot Appeal and the other is Barely Banana.
I think the white gel pen really adds to the design.

Check back to see my stash grow~
